Services for Certificate Program Students
Should any (non-degree or "extension") student currently enrolled in a professional certificate program wish to have borrowing privileges, a library card may be purchased for an annual fee of $300.00. The library card is valid for one calendar year from the date of issue. This grants the extension student:
- Maximum number of checkouts at any one time: 10
- Checkout period of three (3) weeks, with two (2) renewals (nine weeks total)
- Requests for basement retrievals
- In-house use journals, reference materials, and media
To obtain a library card, extension students should go to the Hannon Library circulation desk during Service Desk Hours.
Services for Local Residents
Residents of the Westchester (90045), Playa Vista (90094) and Playa del Rey (90293) neighborhoods may access the library building until 10:00 p.m. For borrowing privileges, a library card may be purchased for a discounted annual fee of $100.00. The library card is valid for one calendar year from the date of issue. A current photo ID or utility bill, with your name and address, will be required for proof of neighborhood residency.
Services for Clergy
Visiting clergy from Los Angeles County may receive free borrowing privileges upon submission of a letter on their organization's letterhead identifying them as affiliated clergy. The letter should include an end date of appointment, if applicable. If there is no specific end of appointment, the privileges will be valid for one year. The letter should also indicate responsibility for the payment of unpaid fines or lost material incurred by the clergy member. Submit the letter of request to the Dean of Libraries, Kristine Brancolini, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
