Payne-Chapple Yoga Therapy Scholarship

Established in 2010, the Payne-Chapple Scholarship is a need-based fund available to qualified students in the  offered through LMU Extension. The fund is named for the cofounders of the program, Dr. Larry Payne and Dr. Christopher Key Chapple.

Those who qualify for financial assistance are eligible to receive partial tuition assistance upwards of $250 for the Advanced (Yoga Therapy Rx II) and Clinical (Yoga Therapy Rx III) programs. The amount awarded depends on the number of applicants seeking assistance, the financial need of the student and how much money is available in the fund at the time of the application. Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee that everyone who applies for assistance will receive an award. Award levels from any previous cycle are not guaranteed, and eligibility guidelines for tuition assistance are evaluated each year. Assistance is not awarded twice for the same course.

Grade Requirement. Students who are awarded tuition assistance through the Payne-Chapple Scholarship Fund must maintain a grade of B- or higher in each course for continued assistance.  

Application. Applicants must fill out the . A completed application must include the requested financial information, a personal statement, and course registration with a deposit fee of 50% of the tuition fee. Only completed applications will be considered.

Application Deadlines. Application must be received at/or before the time of registration and/or before the first day of the course.
